Dr Akriti Rastogi
Lecturer in Film and Television (E&R)
Overview
Dr Akriti Rastogi is Lecturer (Education and Research) in Film and Television Studies at the Department of Communication,Drama and Film at the University of Exeter. She completed her PhD in Cinema Studies in May 2023, from the School of Arts and Aesthetics, New Delhi. An alumna of AJKMCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and Miranda House, University of Delhi, she received the Fulbright Nehru Doctoral Grant in 2019-20, and the ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship 2018 for her doctoral study. Her work is focussed on the intersections of film studies, media studies and digital cultures. She has previously worked as Transmission Executive at the All India Radio, New Delhi, and taught courses on cinema and media studies as Assistant Professor at the School of Media, Mahindra University, Hyderabad and GITAM University, Hyderabad. She has been endorsed as a global talent by the British Academy (September 2023).Research
